CERTIFICATE IN APPLIED THEOLOGY
The Certificate in Applied Theology extends over a one year period (three semesters). Candidates for this certificate are expected to complete 30 credits. The certificate will provide students with a firm foundation for full-time ministry and further theological studies.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES:
After completing this programme the student will:
- Attain personal and spiritual maturity
- Demonstrate an understanding of Biblical literature, theology and the practice of ministry.
- Develop a relationship with God that will be transformative and empowering as he/she seeks to do God’s will.
- Demonstrate the gifts of the spirit
Curriculum
Semester 1
1. The Spirit Filled Life (3 credits)
2. Worship & Prayer (3 credits)
3. The Prophetic Books 1- Minor Prophets (3 credits)
Semester 2
1. The Prophetic Books 2- Major Prophets (3 credits)
2. The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit (3 credits)
3. Authority of God’s Word (3 credits)
Semester 3
1. The Prophetic Ministry 1 (theory) (3 credits)
2. Healing and Deliverance (3 credits)
3. Evangelism (3 credits)
Practicum (3 credits)
Programme Design
Classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Three courses will be taught each semester and all courses are compulsory. Each course will be assessed by a one hour mid-semester test and a two hour final examination. Final examinations are held on the last Saturday of each semester.

Saturday, January 4- Saturday April 12
Semester 3
Saturday April 19- Saturday July 26
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should satisfy one of the following requirements
- Passes in three (3) subjects including English Language at CXC Grades 1, 2 (or Grade 3 as of 1998 acceptable). Or GCE O’ level Grades A, B or C
Or
A certificate or diploma from a recognized tertiary institution
- A pass in the aptitude test administered by Greater Works Learning Centre
All Applicants must submit
- A letter of recommendation from his/her pastor
- One passport size picture
- Copy of academic certificates (where applicable)
- Copy of birth certificate
- A completed application form
